About us and these terms

Bradford Bio Team provides specialist biohazard, trauma, decontamination and property restoration cleaning services across Bradford and, for larger jobs, the wider UK. Quotes and booking

(a) Quotes are free and provided in writing after phone triage or a site assessment. A quote describes the scope of work it covers; work outside that scope is quoted separately before it is carried out.

(b) Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices shown on this website are rough guides only; your written quote is the price that applies.

(c) A booking is confirmed when you accept the written quote by phone, email or the website form.

Our service commitments

(a) Work is carried out with reasonable care and skill by trained, DBS-checked technicians wearing appropriate protective equipment.

(b) Hazardous and clinical waste is removed through licensed carriers, and documentation such as waste consignment notes and clearance certificates is provided where the work generates it.

(c) Where a job is covered by a workmanship guarantee, for example mould treatment, the terms of that guarantee are stated on your quote.

What we need from you

(a) Safe access to the property at the agreed times, and disclosure of anything you know about that affects safety, for example sharps, structural damage or utilities issues.

(b) Confirmation that you own the property or have the owner's authority to instruct the work.

(c) For trauma or crime scene work, confirmation that the police, coroner or other authority has released the property before work is booked.

Payment

(a) Payment terms are stated on your quote. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due on completion for domestic work and within 14 days of invoice for commercial accounts.

(b) Where an insurer is paying, you remain responsible for the invoice until the claim is settled, unless we have agreed in writing to deal with the insurer directly.

(c) We may charge statutory interest on invoices that remain unpaid beyond the agreed terms.

Cancellations and changes

(a) You may cancel or rearrange a booking free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice.

(b) If we attend and cannot start because access was not available or the property had not been released, a reasonable attendance charge may apply.

(c) If you are a consumer who booked away from our premises, you may have a 14-day cooling-off right. By asking us to start urgent work within that period, you agree we may begin immediately and that you will pay for work done if you then cancel.

Liability

(a) We carry full public liability insurance for specialist cleaning operations.

(b) We are responsible for damage we cause through negligence. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for deterioration that is an unavoidable result of the contamination itself, or for items we have advised cannot be safely decontaminated and you have asked us to attempt anyway.

(c) Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Complaints

If something is not right, tell us within 48 hours of completion and give us the opportunity to inspect and put it right. Most issues are resolved with a single return visit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
